Alexander "Olo" Sroczynski was born in Poznan, Poland. He
studied graphics and film illustration at the Cracow Academy of Fine
Arts and then went on to study animation and experimental film direction
at the Graduate Film School in Lodz. After gratuating, he worked at
the Cartoon Studio in Bielsko-Biala and later at the Animated Films
Sutio in Cracow. In 1985 he received a scholarship to study at the
Centro Speriementale di Cinemato Grafia in Rome. His films include:
"8 and 3/4", "One Can Hear", "More than the
Grass Grow", "Animated Film", "Vice Versa",
"Nostalgy", "2013: A Space Odyssey".
In 1983 and 1984 Mr. Sroczynski won awards at the Festival of Short
Animated Films, and in 1985 he received the Silver Plaque Award at
the International Film Festival in Chicago.
His drawings and cartoons have been published internationally,
in the USA: Connoisseur, The New York Times, European Travel &
People.
