The Wall Street Journal credits Stephen Kroninger with having "sowed the seeds of the collage renaissance." His digital and traditionally created editorial illustrations have appeared in nearly every major newspaper and magazine in the United States, as well as in many publications around the world.
Kroninger's collages appear in animated form on cd-roms, music videos, television and the Internet. He also writes and illustrates children's books. Additionally, he lectures and conducts workshops at colleges and universities. He also enjoys sharing his talents with elementary school classes by giving collage demonstrations and assisting students in making their own own collages.
Kroninger has exhibited widely in New York City and around the country, and he continues to show his work at numerous galleries. Kroninger's work was the subject of an exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the only time the museum devoted a one-person show to an illustrator. His collage art can be found in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. Kroninger lives in New York City with his wife and two daughters.
