Leopoldo and Everardo Gout are directors, writers, producers...and brothers. Together they started Calabazitaz, an art group and production company in Mexico City, 12 years ago.
New York-based Leopoldo will publish his first novel, Ghost Radio, with Harper Collins in 2008. He is also collaborating with best-selling novelist James Patterson on a graphic novel and is a key executive with James Patterson Entertainment, which has a co-production deal with Curious to develop Patterson-authored young-adult titles into animated motion media.
Everardo was nominated for a Grammy in 2007 for his music video for The Killers.
The brothers are set to co-direct "Godiva," a feature film for Lakeshore Entertainment, to be filmed in New Zealand in 2008. In addition to directing both live-action and animated commercials through Curious Pictures they currently have various film and video game projects in development. |
